A customer has Viking VCBB536LSS refrigerator unit with lots of ice buildup on the bottom of the freezer. Also, the temperature in the refrigerator side was 68 degree. Our tech removed freezer door, top shelf, icemaker, fan cover and back panel. We saw thick frost buildup on the bottom and under the evaporator coil. We offered to install Viking defrost enhancement kit, which supposed to prevent this issue from happening in the future. We install defrost enhancement kit and drain tube defrosts pin. We put all components back inside the freezer. After we notice that evaporator fan motor was not running. We measured DC voltage to the fan itself and voltage were OK. So, we also replace the bad fan motor.
