  •   Just had a great experience with Kit Appliance repair. Called day before yesterday to schedule a visit. Fridge and diswasher not working. Michael booked the appointment - between 4 and 6pm. David came around 4:30 and called to let me know he was coming. With just the service call he managed to find the issues with both appliances. David was very professional and the whole process was seamless. Honest and forthright. I will definitely call them again if needed and will also recommend their services to family and friends

      The best service ever. I need my Viking oven looked at it stopped working. David was there right on time. Without wasting any time he noticed the setting for manual or auto was off.. rather than charging me arm and leg he showed me the problem and only charge me minimum.

    He was very knowledgeable about appliances and while he was there he changed all bad light bulbs. He was the most honest mechanic I ever met. He was respectful and very professional.

  •   I was skeptical when I called on a Friday afternoon to request service for my Sub Zero and they gave me a next day Saturday appointment, but these people are the real deal and amazing. Showed up on time, had all the right parts and fridge was working great after repair! The repair person, David, was careful and cleaned everything up when done. If I could give 6 stars I would!

      Our oven broke the week before Thanksgiving; we called the manufacturer's recommended service place, but they were unavailable until December. We called up Kit, and David arrived the next day. He diagnosed the part that needed replacing, and said he could get a replacement in a couple weeks. We said that would leave us without a working replacement for Thanksgiving, so he called the warehouse, got them to overnight the part, and showed up the next day to fix the oven. Great service!

      Update - Bought the compressor and asked Kit to install it. There were prompt. Very good experience overall.

  •   My stove fan quit working. I called Kit Appliance Repair and explicitly requested the technician to only come out diagnose the problem, and not repair it. The technician proceeded to repair it, without my authorization.

    When booking a tech to come out, I was only informed about a $65 fee to come out. They neglected to inform me over the phone that their hourly rate is $185. It would have been nice to know this before hand, before I got a huge bill thrown on me at the end.

    The technician came out for exactly 2 hours and 24 minutes, but they decided to charge me for 3 hours. This is apparently their "policy." Basically, if they are at your home for 2 hours and 1 minute, they'll charge you for the additional hour.

    I will never be using this company ever again.

      I called them on Wednesday and made an appointment for Friday morning from 9-12. They didn't come.

    I took this morning off of work to stay home for this.

    I called their office four times this morning, leaving two messages. They just didn't pick up the phone.

    Sent an email to the repairperson, who said he didn't see an appointment on the calendar for me. Did I call the office? Yes, I called the office.

    Will update if they fix this.

    Update:
    The owner came by this evening and was very serious about making this right. He acknowledged my phone calls and my appointment, that it was their fault, and fixed my oven for free! Old-school customer service.
